Haunted jpeg? I took this screenshot once I saw the terrifying levels.

Krampus, who accompanies St. Nicholas during the Christmas season warning and punishing bad children. From the old German word for claw (Krampen). In the first two weeks of December, particularly on the evening of December 5th, Krampus roams the streets frightening children and women with rusty chains and bells, instituting corporal punishment with a birch rod. Krampus wears a basket on his back used to carry away bad children and dump them into the pits of Hell.
One of many favorites by Zdzisław Beksiński. This particular painting won me over for its strangeness, and as a time capsule, because when painted this model car was probably more prevalent. I wonder if he was trying to say something… or did he just want to paint a cool hatchback in a barren wasteland. His other works are absolutely terrifying and also incredible.
